All-electric, or EV, cars and SUVs are increasing in popularity thanks to advanced technology that enhances power and range for electric vehicles. Efficient But Powerful Drivetrains
There are two drivetrain options available in the ZDX. The base trim A-Spec RWD version has a single rear electric motor that produces 358 horsepower and 324 foot-pounds of torque. It offers tremendous versatility, with a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds and a range of 313 miles per full charge. Its 240-volt AC miles per hour of charging rating of 29.4 is impressive, and it can gain 81 miles of range in only 10 minutes of DC rapid charging.
The three higher trim levels incorporate AWD drivetrains and dual-motor configurations, with electric motors in the front and rear. In the A-Spec AWD trim, the motors produce 490 horsepower and 437 foot-pounds of torque, but in the Type S trims, the horsepower output increases to 499 with 544 foot-pounds of torque. The A-Spec AWD gets 304 miles of range from a full charge, while the Type S trims get 278 miles per full charge.
Modern Safety & Driver Assistance Features
The ZDX is one of the safest luxury SUVs on the road, as it earned an impressive 5-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for its crash test performance and upscale safety features. For example, all trim levels have dual-stage multiple-threshold front airbags as well as front-side, side curtain, and knee airbags.
The driver assistance features in the ZDX help prevent accidents by keeping drivers engaged and focused.
