All-electric, or EV, cars and SUVs are increasing in popularity thanks to advanced technology that enhances power and range for electric vehicles. The 2025 Acura ZDX offers a new take on EV SUVs, providing premium features, all-electric efficiency, and incredible horsepower for unmatched performance.

Efficient But Powerful Drivetrains

There are two drivetrain options available in the ZDX. The base trim A-Spec RWD version has a single rear electric motor that produces 358 horsepower and 324 foot-pounds of torque. It offers tremendous versatility, with a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds and a range of 313 miles per full charge. Its 240-volt AC miles per hour of charging rating of 29.4 is impressive, and it can gain 81 miles of range in only 10 minutes of DC rapid charging.

The three higher trim levels incorporate AWD drivetrains and dual-motor configurations, with electric motors in the front and rear. In the A-Spec AWD trim, the motors produce 490 horsepower and 437 foot-pounds of torque, but in the Type S trims, the horsepower output increases to 499 with 544 foot-pounds of torque. The A-Spec AWD gets 304 miles of range from a full charge, while the Type S trims get 278 miles per full charge.

Modern Safety & Driver Assistance Features

The ZDX is one of the safest luxury SUVs on the road, as it earned an impressive 5-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for its crash test performance and upscale safety features. For example, all trim levels have dual-stage multiple-threshold front airbags as well as front-side, side curtain, and knee airbags.

The driver assistance features in the ZDX help prevent accidents by keeping drivers engaged and focused. The standard features in the ZDX include automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, front pedestrian braking, reverse automatic braking, lane change alert, blind zone alert, automatic high beams, rear cross traffic braking, and rear cross traffic alert.

Comfortable, Spacious, & Well-Appointed Interior Loaded with Infotainment Technology

Acura is known for its upscale interiors and advanced features, and the ZDX embraces those traits with a comfortable, spacious interior that offers SUV versatility and luxury car style. With 105 cubic feet of passenger volume, the ZDX can accommodate up to five adults comfortably. The power-adjustable front leather seats are heated and ventilated, and they include standard lumbar support.

Drivers can stay connected and engaged no matter where they roam, thanks to the upscale infotainment and connectivity features that come standard in the ZDX. They include a premium Bang & Olufsen 18-speaker sound system, wireless phone charging, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 11.3-inch color touchscreen.

7 Common Acura Service Visits You Shouldn’t Skip

Superb durability makes any Acura, new or used, money well-invested. As long as you follow a sensible service schedule at your Acura dealership, you'll get more mileage out of your luxury car than with almost any other automotive brand. Here's a rundown of services not to miss. more Brake Inspections Routine brake inspections will save both you and your car from the risk of a collision. Most drivers should have their brakes checked twice a year. Brake pads and rotors wear down steadily and need replacing periodically. If you use your brakes excessively (by regularly driving in heavy traffic daily, for instance) your pads and rotors will wear down more rapidly, and you may need brake inspections three or even four times per year. Oil Changes Your Acura's engine runs super-smoothly because of the motor oil lubricating its shafts, pistons, rods, and valves. Make sure your oil is up to scratch with regular checks and a full oil change twice a year. The oil filter will usually also need to be replaced along with the oil. Coolant Flushes The cooling system is just as essential as any other drivetrain component. Check your coolant often, and have it flushed every two or three years. If you schedule yearly cooling system inspections, our technicians can keep an eye on the condition of your coolant and flush it when necessary. Tire Rotations Your tires will keep safely gripping the tarmac with routine rotations, where the tires are swapped around to prevent uneven tread wear. During each rotation, also have the alignment of your tires checked. Air Filter Replacements The air filter protecting the engine from dust and pollutants slowly clogs up. You'll need to replace it once a year or more frequently if you regularly drive along dusty roads or commute through heavy traffic. Your cabin air filter should be replaced on a similar schedule. Battery Tests Once a year, have your battery tested. You'll need to install a new one every three to five years. It's best to have it tested before winter, when the cold can destroy a weak battery. Some drivers also have their car batteries tested after winter has finished, in case the cold has slowed them down. Spark Plug Replacements Your spark plugs are essential to the entire combustion system. Have your spark plugs checked once a year during a full engine inspection and tune-up. You'll need new plugs every two years or so, although higher grade spark plugs can last a good deal longer. Need a Solid Service Schedule?
